BT Group, Britain's leading fixed-line telecom, will expand its outsourcing base to India, which is currently at $450 million. This was stated by Group Strategy Director Clive Ansell. Ansell also said that the software upgradation required to meet services in the UK will be mostly developed in India. Reuters reports:
The proposed research centre will initially be a small one involving an investment of under $10 million, he [Ansell] said. The BT Group spends $50 million in pure research every year and around $250 million on development.
