LogicaCMG, a leading provider of outsourcing services in Britain, outsourced its work to Bangalore early this year. With the move, the company has saved 35 per cent in costs. LogicaCMG has outsourced around 50 percent of its activities, including dispatching invoices, receiving payments, handling staff expenses and financial reporting.
Key strategic functions are still at the London head office and document handling has been transferred to a centre in Bridgend, South Wales, where costs are lower than in London. Figures from Bangalore indicate that there is a 20 percent improvement in the speed of producing managed accounts. Hindustan Times reports:
The latest figures from Bangalore show that 99 percent of customer invoices are issued within two days and a 20 percent improvement has been achieved in the speed of producing managed accounts, the newspaper reported.
