Gecis Global has announced this week that it will open its next BPO center in Bucharest, Romania. This move forms part of the company's larger global expansion strategy. The Romanian facility will host a variety of the company's services including complex finance and accounting, IT, engineering, supply chain management and customer service processes. While the company will initially employ only 170 individuals at this locale, the facility has the capacity to hold 1,500 employees. The center will primarily serve the company's european clientele, forming part of the 25% of the company's workforce located outside India. In expanding to locales outside of its hub, the company is able to offer direct service not only to its blue chip clients such as GE, but also to smaller customers based in that particular region. The company ultimately decided to open up shop in Bucharest in part because of its location, but also due to the quality and abundance of the workforce. India Infoline News Reports:
"Our expansion into Romania is key to the value proposition we give our European customers, including unparalleled gloval delivery of services, the highest standards of process quality, and expertise in more than a dozen industry verticals.
