Bank of America Corp. Outsourcing in India

The Kansas City Star reports:

"Bank of America Corp. may hire 1,500 people at its subsidiary after it opens in southern India this month, 50 percent more than previously disclosed...

"The Indian work force will be a small part of the bank's total employment. But the startup, Continuum Solutions, marks the bank's latest step in moving work abroad, part of a cost-cutting trend called offshoring or foreign outsourcing, which critics say is eroding America's middle class."
